For every child that runs the bases, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation will donate $1 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. As part of this special day, Phoenix Children’s Hospital also designates a Most Valuable Patient to lead the run following each Sunday home game. This MVP receives a personalized jersey and game tickets, as well as pregame, in-game and postgame recognitions.
“I encourage everyone to get out there on Sundays,” said D-backs All-Star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt. “Run the bases, have some fun and best of all, raise some money that will go to a great cause.”
And, kids, while you’re at the game, don’t forget to check out the Phoenix Children's Hospital Sandlot in the upper left-field corner of Chase Field, featuring a playground, batting cages and plenty of visits by the D-backs’ official team mascot, D-Baxter!
