Today we had the pleasure of visiting Rico’s American grill at the point Hilton squaw peak. We went to an early brunch so that we could have breakfast with Santa and still run around for the day. The brunch included story time with Mrs. Clause, cookie decorating, and a picture with Santa. We have pretty high expectations when it comes to the Hilton squaw Peak events, and this brunch did not let us down!
We arrived bright and early to the Hilton and we were immediately brought to our table. We were given a quick rundown on the festivities, including the buffet, and were sent off to explore all of the delicious foods they had to eat. They offered a wide variety of food including an omelet bar, waffles, pancakes, sausage and bacon, south western style potatoes, oatmeal, croissants, artisan breads, a huge fresh fruit spread, cereal and juice. They also had this super yummy hot chocolate bar with marshmallows and whipped cream! After enjoying a wonderful breakfast we were invited down to the rest of the festivities.
The 8am breakfast was a smaller group of families and I think because we ate for so long (my three year old could have eaten for days there) that by the time we got down there, we were the only family at all of the activities! First we met with Santa, my daughter got a picture with him, chatted his ear off and then they snapped a few photos. We moved onto decorating cookies and I loved that they had a TON of different toppings and boy/girl gingerbread cookies! This was a lot of fun for my daughter because she doesn’t get that much variety at home and we let her do her thing with her cookie, so it was pretty heavily sprinkled. Once we finished up with decorations, Mrs. Clause took some time to read my daughter a Christmas book. The interactive part with everyone is something that we will always remember and it was great to be able to sit and chat with Santa and Mrs. Clause.
We had such a nice time at Breakfast with Santa and my entire family highly recommends heading out to this brunch! The food was great, the atmosphear was welcoming, it felt like the holidays and everyone there was a delight to be around...This is definetly going to be one of our new family traditions!
